We’re back with the second round of introductions for the Spring 2020 One Room Challenge™ (ORC). While this widely anticipated event happens biannually every April and October, due to COVID-19, the start date was pushed to May 6. Each round, twenty design influencers are selected to take the challenge as Featured Designers and transform a space of their choosing throughout a six-week period. This season we are sponsoring 14 designers – check out our first post introducing the first seven designers here.

Ursula Carmona is the creative mind behind the DIY and design blog Home Made by Carmona. Here she shares her passion for building, DIY projects for all skill levels, trendy decorating tips, and clever organizing hacks. It is her mission in life to help others turn their homes into the haven of their dreams! Ursula’s design work and innovative ideas have been featured in several noteworthy magazines including Better Homes & Gardens, Good Housekeeping magazine, as well as on television. She is excited to take on the Master bathroom, closet, and vanity nook for this year’s One Room Challenge.

Design Space: Master Walk-in Closet, Vanity Nook and Bathroom Leslie’s style is rooted in her southern upbringing. While her style is welcoming, relaxed and traditional by nature she is constantly pushing her designs with color and a fresh interpretation of classic interiors. She and her husband moved to Alabama 6 years ago and have renovated 2 homes in that time. Recently, her family downsized to a new construction home on a small lake lot. Her goal is to add old world charm and character to this builder home through strategic DIY projects and the addition of timeless finishes.

Design Space: Open Living and Dining Space, Adjoining Foyer and Faux Fireplace Liz is a lover of color and pattern mixing, thrifting and repurposing. A huge DIYer. Her kitchen project will be the first time she’s ever tiled, wish her luck!

Design Space: Kitchen Blogging since 2007, Jennifer Flores is the writer and one half of the power-tool wielding couple behind Rambling Renovators. Recognized for her timeless designs and impressive DIYs, Jennifer shares her love of classic elements and preppy style (plaid is her favourite neutral) on her blog. Her challenge for the ORC: transforming her dark and dated basement into a coastal escape.

Design Space: Basement Rec Room David and Stephen are a husband-and-husband DIY team passionate about a good project. Over the past two years they have been renovating their previously abandoned 1894 Boston Victorian home and sharing their process along the way. They will be transforming their untouched bedroom and storage space into a full master bedroom, closets, and bath.

Design Space: Master Bathroom Catherine and Bryan Williamson are husband-wife interior designers, renovators, and Airbnb hosts based in Columbus, OH. The duo shares their DIY tips, design process, and before & afters on their blog, Beginning in the Middle, and have been featured in publications such as The New York Post, The Wall Street Journal, House Beautiful, and Design*Sponge. They are currently remodeling a cape cod for Catherine’s parents, who are moving from NJ to OH later this year, and will be tackling the attic master suite during the One Room Challenge.

Design Space: Florida Room At Hunted Interior, Kristin Jackson focuses on creating timeless spaces with a touch of the unexpected. Whether incorporating a high end statement piece or the addition of a vintage find, she believes that it is not what you spend that gives your home style, it is how you layer your space together.

Design Space: Guest Bathroom The spring season is officially underway! Contestants will be posting weekly One Room Challenge updates, so stay tuned to follow along with their progress.
